Lee Schrager is the Rock Star of the food and wine experience. He is the mastermind behind the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival and it’s sister in New York. Shrager has been quoted as saying that he never wanted to become a chef but what drives him is seeing the whole thing come together. A true food lover, in all of it’s dimension, he knows what is the best in Miami. Schrager, the Chief Lifestyle Advisor for Gilt City, a fabulous company that offers exquisite high end experiences at wonderful prices, asked him to curate a very special package at the Forge Restaurant and Wine Bar in Miami: An enomatic wine experience for two. Enomatic wine bars offer a new era of wine tasting as they are a state of the art preservation and serving system allowing
you to sample many different wines during the course of the evening.
Once you have been escorted to your reserved seats, you will be given a demonstration of the enomatic wine wall by the sommelier. You only have to choose if you would prefer red or white. You will be entitled to four 3 ounce glasses, of wines that have been specially selected by Lee Schrager for Gilt City. Gilt City’s website refers to this experience as akin to the childhood experience of candy bins in a sublime candy store for adults. The art of wine tasting is all that more pleasurable when complemented with the right foods. Chef Dewey Losasso has prepared a tasting plate especially for your evening with four of Lee Schrager’s favorite hors d’oeuvres.
Then you will have a private tour of the Forge’s excellent wine cellar by the Forge’s Sommelier. All of this delight for $ 75. This package is offered as of Monday May 30th; after purchasing please call 305. 538. 8533 to make your reservations, mention the Gilt City Package and enjoy.

Anwar, who today lives in Miami Beach with her three children Willow, 17, Hugo, 10, and Paisley, 7, and her boyfriend, Shareef Malnik, owner of The Forge restaurant, pursed a string of commercials, did more TV projects and started shooting films all over Europe. She made her movie debut in 1988’s Manifesto and continued her work with BBC TV productions, including First Born, Summer’s Lease, Press Gang and The Mysteries of the Dark Jungle.
Her life got even greater when she met Malnik last year during her 40th birthday dinner at Paradise Farms in Homestead. She was enjoying a sumptuous organic feast with a friend when she started talking to Malnik, who was there selecting field-to-table foods and learning about new menu ideas for his recent redesign of The Forge. They clicked on the spot and made plans for a party. “The rest is delicious history,” she enthuses. “We eventually moved in together and now live a wonderful life with the children. I love being in our house on the bay, paddleboarding on the ocean and enjoying our time.” Marriage is a hot topic in their home but she wants to be “cautious” before she takes that next step and is in no hurry to do so. She is happy with the way things are—she likes to dine at The Forge as well as cook gourmet meals at home when she is not shooting. …
For now, Anwar is busy working on her new role as the auctioneer for Malnik’s Make-a-Wish Foundation Miami gala at the Intercontinental Hotel on November 5. She and Malnik talk about the event daily and are planning for it to be the best fundraiser ever. “Paula Abdul was the auctioneer last year,” says Anwar of the event, which has attracted high-profile auctioneers such as Kim Kardashian and Sharon Stone. “I am really looking forward to it. I want it to be a dynamic night and will do more than just put my name on it.”
“Gabrielle is such a talent; a consummate professional and most importantly – sincere, passionate and committed,” says Malnik. “This is why she is the best person for the job— namely, our MC and auctioneer for the 17th annual Intercontinental Make-A-Wish Ball. It is also why she is the best person for me.”
