Here at The Forge we love Art Basel Miami. This prestigious Art Fair brings with it a fabulous hype, great blue chip art and a large following of very interesting art collectors, artists and people from all over the world. The original fair was established in Basel Switzerland in 1970 and now hosts over 300 of the world’s top galleries. The sister event in Miami was founded in 2002. On June 7th Art Basel announced it’s first Hong Kong edition for 2013. It will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 23 to May 26 2013. China, Asia is the new frontier and this expansion is a strong positive decision for the art market.

The InterContinental Miami hosted the annual kick off event for the Miami Make-A-Wish Ball; more than 200 of South Florida’s leading philanthropists attended, celebrating a 17 year proven track record of extraordinary fundraising success. The Ball is slated for November 3 2012 and will be India-themed.
