Makaziwe Mandela and Tukwini Mandela, daughter and granddaughter of former South African president Nelson Mandela, were spotted Thursday night dining at The Forge with Mel Dick, senior VP of Southern Wine & Spirits. The group ate in the main dining room and throughout the meal enjoyed some of the first bottles of House of Mandela Wine that have reached the United States. The Forge will be one of the first restaurants in the United States to carry this newly released wine.

The InterContinental Miami hosted the annual kick off event for the Miami Make-A-Wish Ball; more than 200 of South Florida’s leading philanthropists attended, celebrating a 17 year proven track record of extraordinary fundraising success. The Ball is slated for November 3 2012 and will be India-themed.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, famous actor and professional wrestler, has won a total of 16 championships and is thought of as one of the  great wrestlers of all time. As an actor he has sported great roles in The Scorpion King, Walking Tall, and Race to Witch Mountain among others. He is said to be a fabulous guy, very elegant and have great taste. So when he learned of his  nomination as CinemaCon’s Action Star of the year he celebrated the event at The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar.
